Busey Bank’s Community Scholarship Program is to assist graduating high school seniors in continuing their education beyond high school at a university, college, trade, or vocational school.

The recipient will be selected on the basis of positive leadership and character exhibited in academic and extra-curricular school activities and community and/or religious activities. Applicants must have maintained a 3.0 GPA or better for seven semesters of high school.

Award amount: Four-year renewable scholarship ($2,000/year) administered by the Edwardsville Community Foundation (ECF).

One (1) $2,500 scholarship awarded to a high school student planning to pursue a career in a plant-related discipline, such as horticulture, botany, biology, plant pathology, ecology, environmental studied, etc.

O'Fallon Metro NAACP Leadership, Entrepreneur, and Business Scholarship
Four (4) - $1,500 scholarships

Applicants must be Black/African American, or a Person of Color, must be planning to enroll in an accredited 2- or 4- Year College/University to Technical School for the upcoming year in the United States, must posses a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 system, must have participated in 2 or more extra-curricular activities.

Applicants must be a graduating OTHS senior, have a cumulative GPA of least 3.5, have successful completion of at least seven semesters of social studies courses. Applicants must successfully complete of at least four semesters of OTHS social studies course offerings and declared pursuit of social science (non-STEM) higher education - Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Law, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Science Education K-12.

Steve Dirnbeck Education Scholarship
$1,000 - scholarship award
Deadline - March 31, 2026
​The Steve Dirnbeck Education Scholarship was established by Steve Dirnbeck, a former OTHS teacher, coach, principal, and Board of Education member. Upon his retirement after 46 years in education, Mr. Dirnbeck created this scholarship to honor his career and leave a lasting legacy at OTHS by supporting future educators.
This is a one-time award of $1,000 presented to a graduating senior who plans to pursue a career in education, with a specific interest in becoming a math or science teacher.
The selected recipient will demonstrate:

Academic dedication and strong character
Consideration may be given towards a student's self-reported ACT score and GPA.
The $1,000 award will be paid directly to the recipient’s university or college to support educational expenses.

Applicants must be the child, grandchild, or great-grandchild (natural, stepchild, or legally adopted) of a current member in good standing (dues paid at time of application and award) of Fischer-Sollis American Legion Post #137. They must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or similar achievement if scale is other than 4.0) and must have applied or been accepted to, or are currently attending an accredited post-secondary college or technical/trade school.

Four - $500 scholarship awards
Deadline - April 1, 2026 by 7pm
Applicants must be a practicing Catholic, must be a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter of Council 4239 member in good standing since Jan. 1st 2022, son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter of recently transferred member in good standing as a Knight since Jan. 1st 2022, son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter of a deceased Council 4239 member who was in good standing at the time of death, or an applicant who receives the majority of financial support (claimed on Federal Tax Return) from a member in good standing as a Knight since Jan. 1st 2022 will be considered. This scholarship is open to all young women who are beginning their post-secondary education in the fall of 2026.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, must plan to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution full-time in the fall, must exhibit excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics, and potential for future success, as well as shows need for financial assistance.

Applicants must be pursuing a degree or certificate from a vocation/technical school or an accredited college. Each recipient must have a desire to better themselves through higher education and have concrete aims and academic goals. Since Kiwanis is a service organization, extracurricular activities will be looked at as well. These include school, religious, social and civic activities and especially service through Scouting.

Pauline Marie and John Paul Morgan were active members in their community and Kiwanis Club. The O'Fallon Kiwanis Club is offering two $1,000 scholarships to honor these outstanding past members of our club. Kiwanis Club - Wayne McKinley Scholarship & Clyde "Tex" Glenn Scholarship
Two - $500 scholarships
Deadline - April 17, 2026
Wayne McKinley was a Charter Member of the O'Fallon Kiwanis Club and he owned and operated O'Fallon Motor Company (Chevrolet dealership). Clyde Glenn was a member of the Kiwanis Club for 65 years. He was the owner of Schwarz Furniture in O'Fallon.
Applicants must be pursuing a degree or certificate from a vocational/technical school or an accredited college. The scholarships will not necessarily be awarded to the student with the highest GPA or standardized test score, but to those students who exemplify an overall representation of the application criteria.

St. Clair County Scholarship
One award will be given to the student with the highest ACT or SAT score in the county. If there is a tie, the number of students who achieve the highest ACT or SAT score in St. Clair County will divide the one award. If the award is divided, no award shall be less than $400 to any one student.

Priority will be given to a student intending to be an English Teacher at the junior high or high school level. After that, consideration will be given to students planning to become Mathematics teachers at the junior high or high school level, followed by other education majors.

Four - $500 scholarships

Applicants must be a practicing Catholic, a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter of Council 4239 member in good standing since Jan. 1st 2020, son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter of recently transferred member in good standing as a Knight since Jan. 1st 2020, son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter of deceased Council 4239 member who was a member in good standing at time of death, or applicant who receives the majority of financial support (claimed on Federal Tax Return) from a member in good standing as a Knight since Jan. 1st 2020 will be considered.
OTHS Social Studies Department Scholarship

Applicants must be a graduating OTHS senior, have a cumulative GPA of least 3.5, have successful completion of at least seven semesters of social studies courses. Applicants must successfully complete of at least four semesters of OTHS social studies course offerings and declared pursuit of social science (non-STEM) higher education - Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Law, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Science Education K-12.
Alpha Delta Kappa Illinois Scholarship - Iota Chapter
$1,000 scholarship award
Deadline - April 23, 2025
Applicants must be entering college for the purpose of becoming a teacher, must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, must be accepted into an accredited college, university, or community college, must have involvement in extracurricular activities in school and community, must complete a one page, typewritten, double-spaced essay explaining why the candidate wishes to become a teacher, and must have a letter of recommendation from a teacher or coach.

Applicants must be pursuing a degree or certificate from a vocational/technical school or an accredited college. The scholarships will not necessarily be awarded to the student with the highest GPA or standardized test score, but to those students who exemplify an overall representation of the application criteria.

This scholarship is open to all young women who are beginning their post-secondary education in the fall of 2025.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, must plant to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution full-time in the fall, must exhibit excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics, and potential for future success, as well as shows need for financial assistance.
Kiwanis Memorial Mr. Claude Barrow Scholarship
$500 Scholarship award
Deadline - April 30, 2025
Applicants must be a graduating senior at O'Fallon Township High School, must be pursuing a degree or certificate from a vocational/technical school or an accredited college. The scholarship will not necessarily be awarded to the student with the highest GPA or standardized test score, but to the student who exemplifies an overall representation of the application criteria.
St. Clair County Scholarship
One award will be given to the student with the highest ACT or SAT score in the county. If there is a tie, the number of students who achieve the highest ACT or SAT score in St. Clair County will divide the one award. If the award is divided, no award shall be less than $400 to any one student.
Deadline - Applications must be submitted to the OTHS School Counseling Department by May 14, 2025.
Student must reside and attend a high school located in St. Clair County and submit their highest ACT or SAT score.

Tuskegee Airmen Foundation Scholarship
Tuskegee Airmen, Incorporated (TAI) national organization awards forty scholarships annually, each valued at $1,500 or more to deserving high school seniors. Scholarship awards are based on four criteria: 1) academic performance, 2) financial need, 3) two themed essays, and 4) timely submission of the completed application.

Local Land of Lincoln Chapter Scholarships:
The Chapter has $2,000 to disperse, and the number and mount of the awards will depend on the number of applications we receive. Three applications from our Chapter, who meet criteria set by SDFM National Headquarters, will also compete for one of nine national scholarships described below.
National Scholarships:
One - $3,000 award in honor of LTG James F. McCall for a senior who demonstrated exemplary abilities, is pursuing a financial management career field and achieves high academic success. This winner may re-apply each year and receive $1,500 for the following three academic years, if qualified.
Four - $2,000 awards. Recipients may re-apply each year to receive $1,000 for the following three academic years, if qualified.

Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Scholarships
At the National level DAR offers scholarships for: graduating high school seniors and college undergrad and graduate students in specific areas of study.
National scholarship applications are accepted November 1 thru January 31.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States and must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States.

The Reverend Johnny Scott Four-Year Scholarship is awarded to a high school senior of African-American descent from St. Clair County. The award is in the amount of $2,000 for the first year and $1,000 for subsequent years if qualifications are met, not to exceed a total of $5,000.
Applicants must have at least a 3.2 GPA, must demonstrate community and school involvement, and must maintain a 3.0 GPA to secure continued scholarship award.
