MILBURN SPECIFIC QUESTIONS

Where do we drop off/pick up at Milburn?
Is there a bus for Freshmen who have after school practice at Smiley?
  • Yes! There is a bus that will pick up all students needing to go to Smiley. It is called the "Activity Bus". Your student will go to the bus lot with all other riders and there will be a school employee out there directing students where to go. All busses will be clearly labeled for your student and if they have any questions about which bus, have them ask an adult.
Can we bring fast food for lunch on our child's birthday?
  • Items wished to be dropped off for students during the school day can be left with security at the security desk up front. Security will call your student down to pick up the items from security.
Is there time between classes to visit lockers?
  • Yes! Students have 5 minute passing periods in between their classes which is plenty of time to visit their locker to get necessary items for the next class.
Do they change clothes/shower for PE?
  • Students will change clothes for PE. Students are provided with a PE locker and time to change. Our wonderful PE staff will guide students the first few days of class with the proper directives. Showers are not provided for students.

What do we do about school supplies???

  • Check out our Course Supply List Page to start. If you can't find information there, simply wait until your student is supplied with a Course Syllabus on the first week of school. That will have all the course specific information that they need to be successful in that class.
How do we get a parking pass for our student?
  • Visit our Parking Pass Page for all the information you may need about parking passes.
How do I add money to my students lunch account?
  • This can be done through Skyward. Once you login to your Skyward account, you can use the left hand navigation to select "Food Service" and then "Make a Payment". For more on Skyward, you can visit our Panther Bytes Tutorials page.
where do I send my completed physical form? How long are physicals good for?
  • You can send your physical into school with your student to drop off at the Nurses Office of either campus, or you can email a copy to them. 
  • Physicals are good for 1 year from the date of the most recent physical.

If my student doesn't have Early Bird, can they still come to school early and study?
  • YES! Our students are welcome to study in a quiet environment in the IMC or in the Cafeteria whenever campus is open. 
What are "Early Release" day schedules?
  • Most early release days are for 11:30am at Milburn and 12:00pm at Smiley. All early release days will have a schedule attached to our school calendar on the main page when the schedules are released. You can just click on the event for that day, and it will be posted.
What are some frequently used Apps or Programs for OTHS?
  • Did you know we have an entire page dedicated to our Technology Tutorials? We try and keep up to date with the latest here at OTHS, but most of the frequently used programs we use are covered by either a PDF document, or an actual video walk through of that program. Check it out here!
