Thursday, April 6th
2:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.
O’Fallon Township High School’s 27th Annual Blizzard will take place this year on April 6th, 2017. Blizzard is an orientation program designed to help 8th graders with the transition to high school. The program addresses some of the challenges students may face in high school while encouraging healthy choices, decisions, and communication. Furthermore, Blizzard gives 8th graders an opportunity to get a glimpse of high school life, see parts of the Milburn Campus, meet students from other feeder schools, and ask questions of current high school students. The goal of the program is to get students connected with one another and connected with high school life in a healthy manner even before they begin their four years at OTHS.
All eighth grade students from our “feeder” schools are welcome to attend Blizzard. As the result of fundraisers held throughout the year, we are able to provide this activity free of charge.
Permissions slips will be given out to 8th graders at their attending schools the week of February 27th. Students who are home-schooled or who attend some of the smaller private schools will receive a permission slip at the high school when they register. Signed permission slips are due back by March 8th.
