The Illinois State Bar Association sponsors a statewide mock trial competition for Illinois high schools.Each Illinois high school is invited to participate in a competition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.Formal tryouts are conducted to select the team of eight to ten students from the many qualified OTHS students who wish to represent our school.The team receives guidance from a teacher coach and an attorney but all of the arguments, questions and theories are the original work of the students.The invitational consists of a law test and participating in two trials.
